Loan to Value Ratio (LVR)

« Back to Glossary Index

The value of the loan divided by the value of the property. If you buy a $500,000 property and need a $400,000 loan, your LVR is 80%. LVR is calculated based on the formal valuation of a property or asset, not the price you are paying.
