The Reserve Bank of Australia is Australia’s central bank, whose role is to create financial stability for the country by monitoring and enforcing monetary policy. Its goal is to create financial, employment and welfare stability amongst citizens. The RBA determines the national cash rate which is used by lenders as a guide for the percentage of interest they apply to their lending products.
