I don't want to look the same as 100 other brokers
Mark started saving to invest at 14, funded by a paper run and shifts at McDonald’s. That point of difference stayed with him. It’s what Australian Broker picked up on when it profiled Feather Loans in November 2024.
One of Mark’s first moves was securing 70 lender accreditations, well beyond what most brokers hold. The goal: real options for clients in situations a standard lender list can’t solve.
It’s also why the Feather Loans site doesn’t look like a template broker page.
Mark built it himself, skipping the pre-packaged agency route. So clients get a feel for how he works before they even call. As he told the publication:
“I don’t want to look the same as 100 other brokers.”
The same thinking shows up in the advice itself. Take junior doctors completing residency. Many can access higher loan-to-value ratios without paying Lenders Mortgage Insurance. It’s a niche policy most brokers don’t even mention.
